Current employment and projects
I am currently working for Marks & Spencer. Recent projects in my spare time include designing a business card, leaflet and poster for ‘Ann Pigott - Reiki Master’ and building the web site www.annpigottreikimaster.co.uk I also designed and built my own web site www.lucydunbar.co.uk which is continually developing. Designing and building www.littletootles.co.uk using Wordpress. My interests include all areas of design including researching new ideas for web design, architecture, interiors, animation and photography.

Pinstripe Ltd – Ladies wear designer 2010
I designed across a variety of product areas including Outerwear, Knitwear and Jersey wear for the stock range and the web site ‘boohoo.com’. The role involved trend and colour research using ‘WGSN’, the Internet and comparative shopping trips. I created design sheets to send to suppliers using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and created my own size specifications. I also designed new labels for our range. I worked in Shanghai, liaising with suppliers and researching available fabrics.

Whispering Smith (Rajan Imports)- Outerwear designer
2007 – 2009
I designed Outerwear for our Ladies and Girls stock range and a variety of customers including, Republic, D2, Ethel Austin, Matalan, New look, Henley’s, Heatons, and Piazza Italia. I also designed a range of woven shorts and casual trousers. For Piazza Italia, I designed a range of woven shorts, skirts, dresses, playsuit's and denim for girls. When required I can create size specs for my designs. As well as designing garments I designed labels, prints, checks and embroideries. I attended customer meetings and liaised daily with factories and I have been on trips to Naples and Hong Kong.
The Juice Corporation – Ladies wear designer 2007
I worked on accounts for Dorothy Perkins, Ethel Austin, Jane Norman, TK Maxx and Bank. I also worked under the brand name Katharine Hamnett. The range varied from casual hooded tops and T-shirts to dresses, jackets and also denim. I created presentation boards for clients and developed design packs to send out to the factories.
Danielle International – Designer
2006 – 2007
I predominately worked on the knitwear and leisurewear range for Bonmarche’. I also worked on leisurewear, outerwear and children’s wear for the Heatons and Happits accounts. The role was very diverse and I worked on all areas when required. After leaving the company I still continued to provide freelance work on the Children’s range for Heaton’s. I designed for the girls and boys range, aged from babies to teens. The range included embroidered, appliqué and printed designs.
J.R.Hosiery – Head Designer
2003 – 2006
Head Designer for an Importer/ Distributor of Ladies and Men’s wear. I designed Ladies knitwear, Outer wear and T-shirts for the 30+ market and a range of knitwear for Men. The Ladies wear range mainly comprised of embellished and embroidered designs. My duties also included creating colour palettes, colour keys and size specifications for orders. I undertook research on comparative shopping trips locally and to Europe. I attended Premiere Vision to gain ideas and colour predictions for the coming seasons. I would liaise daily with suppliers in the Far East and worked closely with the quality control team.
Stylewise Ltd - Design Room Assistant
2002 - 2003
My role involved looking after orders for our range and our customers, which included Bewise, Matalan, Peacocks and Pilot. My duties included approving samples and lab dips, raising orders and creating size specifications. I would liaise daily with our customers and suppliers in the Far East and Turkey and worked closely with designers in our team to keep up to date with trends.
